I recently acquired a Planet Fitness contract from the Wanderers Mega Club in the month of November, 2013. I was told that if i sign up before the end of the 2013 year, my monthly bill will be R89 per month, and will remain that way for the duration of my contract, and as long as I can commit to going to the gym 36 times a year. The sales consultant told me if I signed up afterwards i.e in the year of 2014 I would incur the cost of the 2014 price hike. So naturally this seemed like a good idea. However, I have now come to discover that since the turn of the new year. My fees have gone up and I am now paying R115 per month with out being notified by Planet Fitness. I tried calling on the 28.01.2014, after listening to hellishly distaste full music on their waiting lines. I was eventually helped 3 calls later!!! To my dismay, the lady on the phone line simply told me. The fees have gone up and its was a miss communication error. And I must now pay R115pm. I find this utterly disgusting. And I am extremely frustrated for being too by Planet Fitness and their sales consultants.
