On the 31 December I notice that Virgin Active requested from my Bank by means of Debit order the amount of R 446.60. my normal debit order was agreed and signed for only R 85.80, II made with the branch, i was told to contact, the contact center, with no luck, this month again they requested R 446.60 from my bank, I stopped the debit order, called the Contact Center and was transferred to "collections" with a lady that cannot pronounce her name clearly, after the call I realize why? when I ask her where she got the amount of R446.60, because i was R 1 and a half month in arrears also because I changed the date on my Debit order, but was never actioned by Virgin Active. She told me that my premium went up to R446.60? I told her but why don't I know about this? they cant just increase and deducted what they feel like, it is illegal, she replied in a very bombastic manner, "they can do what they want" I said but there was no communication, no notifications? without any hesitation he said If i don't like it i can pay a R1200 cancellation fee and resign from the Gym, neither to say, I enjoyed the gym, but with this illegal and cruel behavior, I stopped all debit orders.
