Refusal to cancel / Debit Orde

It took me about three weeks to get my membership cancelled, first the e-mail addresses provided, do not work, then I was told the cancellation could not be done as the lady doing the cancellations had resigned. Eventually it was cancelled but I still had to pay the increased fee for 2014. Head Office was going to confirm to the club why an extra R 80.00 had been charged. I never got feedback from them again and was just happy to know that at least the membership was cancelled. This morning I received a bank notification to confirm that my account has been debited with the Gym Fee. So in total Planet Fitness has now taken about R 400.00 and will probably continue to debit my account. Not sure what to do further, surely you can't still be charging me for a cancelled membership. I complied with all your terms and conditions and cannot believe that this is happening. Does anyone out there know how I should proceed (legal advice etc)... I want my money back. Shocking, shocking, shocking...
