On the 21st of October 2013, I visited Virgin Active's Fichardt Park Branch in Bloemfontein with the aim of finding out about the monthly campaign and re-joining. The monthly campaign of a 'free month on us' in Oct 2013 applied to new members who joined between the 1st of Oct 2013 to the 14th of October 2013. I informed the consultant that I did not want to pay the pro rata amount and that I would rather come re-join the gym on the 1st of Nov 2013 in order to qualify for the promo. The consultant said I would still qualify for the promo as long as I started exercising on the 1st of Nov 2013. I also found out that Virgin Active owed me an amount of R69 which they never bothered to inform me about. I was further promise that I would pay less than the R359 month fee because of the R69 due to me. I complied with the condition of exercising on the 1st of Nov 2013. On the 2nd of No 2013, I received a notification from my bank of debit order of R359 by Virgin Active. Upon speaking to the same consultant, I was informed that because I received the bag then I would not qualify for the 'free month'. I feel take advantage of and misled by Virgin Active. Who qualifies for these promos?
