Cancellation of contract

I signed up for membership on the 6/08/2013 with Fanie Masemola and i decided to cancel on the 9/08/2013 as Fanie told me i could think about it and cancel within 5 days, so when i went to the gym Eco Boulevard branch, Fanie was not there so i gave the letter to Rosa, but however the membership was never cancelled as virgin is debiting my account and i cannot afford this membership as i am a student, when i go there to query it they keep saying they need proof and unfortunately i do no have a copy of the cancellation letter, and that i will incur a cancellation fee but how if i cancelled within 5 days and yet they did not cancel the contract, is this because of commissions, please cancel this contract, i cannot afford it as i am a student and last month i incurred a lot of bank charges as you kept debiting my account when I didn't have money, i cannot afford this contract, this is not fair because i cancelled this contract within 3 days.
