Terrible service

I'm so disappointed as a new client from the bad service I'm experiencing from Virgin active, I joined in June and was told the money will be debited from my account on the 1st of each month, today when I went to the gym I was told my account is in arrears, this is really terrible & disgusting service as there was money in my bank account on the 1st July and there is still money available today, so how can my account be in arrears, there is no declined debit order on my bank account, the lady at reception could not give me a proper answer, as a new client I really regret why I signed a contract at virgin active if this is the service I get in just one month of joining I wonder what to expect in the next months to come, this is really embarrassing when u at reception and told account is in arrears when I know I have no declined debit orders, Can some-one who has a proper answer from accounts department please respond.
