I joined the club about 2 years ago and when I signed the contract i was told that my package includes bringing maximum of 3 guests a month (As a Sales tool). I rarely use the gym and sometimes take up to three months without even one visit.
On Monday 17 June, i tried to use the gym and i had my wife who wanted to join the gym. I offered her one free lesson- since my contract permits that and to my surprise, all efforts were fruitless as the line manager (A short lady) refused to give her entry to the gym saying the changed that system. It was embarrassing and humiliating. According to a contract, whether signed or verbal, it cannot be changed without mutual parties agreeing to it.
However, i am counting down time as my contract is expiring soon and word of mouth is so powerful- i will spread the news to my colleagues (You have so many Vineyard Hotel employees using your facilities) and we can get better treatment somewhere. I am not asking for favour but to follow what our contract say. New rules or laws should apply to new contracts.
