Its been - 4 months since Planet Fitness Cobbewalk suffered, according to a staff member, a minor fire in the mens cloakroom. Feedback from PF has to be squeezed out of management. Thus far all we have is promises that the parties concerned are "negotiating" the repairs. Inspection at Cobblewalk reveals NO progress on any repairs thus far. Is there any intention to undertake repairs? Members have been fobbed off to the Aurora branch, and that is where the problem. Aurora PF adds abour 20-30 driving time to each gym visit, making it hard for busy people to find time, plus the MASSIVE cost involved in time and travel. This arrangement is pushing a R220 membership close to R600 per month, and thats just the travel. Are members going to be able to claim these costs from PF? We were sold local only memberships as Cobblewalk is on our doorstep. PF is now on record as claiming they are neg.repairs. Someone at CW has told me they are NOT opening again. Would appreciate an honest, detailed reply to this, without the usual generic speech about "repairs being negotiated" etc. If this is not forthcoming, maybe a local newspaper should investigate. Remember, contracts expire, as does customer loyalty
