I purchased a chicken and mayo sandwich today at the Golden Acre branch, during my lunch break. I took a bite and to my disappointment the bread that was used tasted old, and after a few more bites, i bit into sand.
I went back to the store to complain and after them running around a not know how to proceed, i was offered a refund and a free sandwich.
The customer service was appalling. I asked where i could lay a formal complaint with regards to the sandwich i had purchased and they just said management would deal with it.
Worst of all, i did not get any sort of apology, this seemed to be something they deal with at that moment and forget about it.
I myself work with customers everyday and find the service i received absolutely no service. One goes to Woolworths for the quality, but if the service is not up to scratch i can easily buy elsewhere.
I am so disappointed in the manner in which my complaint was dealt with. I'd rather advise friends and family to purchase elsewhere, rather than be faced with a situation like i was in.
