On Tuesday, my wife went to have a tap repaired at The Bathroom Factory. She was told that they would call her by the afternoon with a quote. At a prior visit, she was told by Rocky that to manufacture the required part, would cost no more than R150-R190. When the tap was taken for repairs, she was assured by Shireen that the tap would cost no more than R350. B4 leaving, she stressed that if the tap would cost her more than that, it was not worth her repairing the tap and was told that she would get back to her with the correct price as her boss was not in. Not hearing from them, she called that afternoon and the next 2 days for the quote- but was just met with 'I will call you as soon as I have a price' Eventually on Thursday afternoon she receives an SMS stating that the tap was repaired and the cost of the repair was R627... REPAIRED? When she queried the high repair price without her approval she was made out to just want a 'freebie' job and was met with extreme hostility and arrogance by the owner Ann who refused to listen to reason n that a quote WAS requested before the repair? Seems like this is common unscrupulous practice to TRAP unsuspecting customers. Totally disgusting!
