Damaged Leap Pad

I bought a Leappad 2 for my daughter for christmas. When switching on the unit it had 2 lines across the screen. We took it back to Reggies but they can not swop it as there is not stock available. They promised that they would have stock last Monday but still nothing. Today is the 16th of January and my daughter still cant use her christmas present!
