Complaint / review / scam report
I have logged a complaint with the Furniture City call centre on the 4th of March 2013. Ref number 173437. After battling for more than 3 weeks to get an answer from the Call Centre, I decided to take the product in to the branch directly. The Manager at the branch didn't seem to know anything about how the insurance THAT I PAYED FOR!!!! worked... A lady called me the week after and explained everything. She told me to go and get an affidavit from the police station and come in to the store to sign the papers. I took the affidavit to the store and signed the papers and that was the last that I have heard from them. I called in to find out what the progress is but the lady that helped me was on leave. She advised me that they don't know where the papers were and that they will get back to me the same day. If I knew this I would have never purchased ANYTHING from Furniture City!!! How long does one have to wait for an insurance claim on something so simple. IT'S ALMOST BEEN 2 MONTHS!!! I don't care if it takes 6 months to resolve but for sakes, at least keep a person up to date and have the courtesy to call the client and keep them updated!!
