So what is the primary reason one goes to a cinema? To watch a movie? Not at Ster Kinekor Tygervalley! Iron Man 3D in Cine 9 at 8:10pm, Wed 15th May never, ever played. And not a single staff person even noticed until several of us went to find out what was happening 20 minutes after the movie was supposed to begin. The lights didn't dim, the trailers didn't start. Nothing. One of this cinema complex's premier cines and no movie. Luckily for us, Iron Man was playing in two cines that night and at 8:45pm we managed to trudge next door and find seats there. Not for the first time, shocking service from SK Tyger Valley. Bad enough you might think? Nope, because previous to that, about 30 of us were all stuck in the refreshments queue for over 20 minutes while only 1 counter operated. It would be irritating if this was the first time something like this has happened. But alas, this is my 3rd complaint in about as many months. Always lenghty queues at the refreshments on a week night and most of the time something wrong inside the cine from no aircon, to faulty speakers, to blurry screen etc. You have a simple job SK Tygervalley. Start doing it or make way for someone who can!
