Escalators out of order for more than 6 Months!!!

At one of largest Edgars outlets in the mother city, a 3 floor mega store on Adderley street Cape Town, I see a sign. It says:

"Lifts and escalators out of order... We apologize for any inconvenience caused"

Ok fine I thought in November, then December, it was still broken, and has been out of order to date. 6 Months, later you still apologizing to your customers???

Wow, I have such little faith in Edcon as a whole after seeing how they operate. What about your customers with accessibility challenges, clearly they are not welcome at Edgars, at least this is the message I am getting.

I really think that Edcon should stop apologising for inconveniencing there customers, as on this time scale it is an absolute insult to anyone with reasonable intelligence.

Should deeper, issues be at play here, like legal mitigation, then signage should be available to those who would like to enquire.

I am shocked to see such a big brand with such low levels of standards, and little resolve to solve issues in their own stores.

Apologising to your customers for 6 months and not resolving the issues speaks volumes for your company.

Come on guys get your act together!!!
