I just got home from Pick n Pay Kenilworth Centre and am fuming! The cashier refused to take 2x 5 cent coins as part of my payment. I refused to leave because as far as I am concerned this coin is still legal tender. Whilst holding up the queue, on a Friday late afternoon and upsetting everyone in the queue, (being made to feel like I did something wrong) I asked for the Manager. The supervisor came and also insisted that they do not take these coins because the Bank does not honour them but she eventually agreed to accept them but warned me that this would be the last time! Pick n Pay what is going on...
