Cashier had a problem with my method of payment

This morning 11/04/2012 at around 7:20, like every other morning, I went into Spar to buy snacks for the day, yet this morning was a whole different experience, Linda, cashier, had a problem with me paying by R200 note for R78. odd cents. She refused to take my money and claimed she couldn't give me change as she does not have changed. I was shocked by her remark and said well in that case I wont be taking the goods. She then had a fit, got up from her chair, walked over to the cigarette counter to get change, the manager witnessed.
When she returned, she made a comment in front of other customers and staff members, saying "I don't understand why people pay by R200 notes" and shook her head. I looked at her in total shock, I couldn't believe the bad and rude attitude this woman was giving me as loyal customer. I responded with "do you have a problem with me paying by R200 notes" and she replied "Yes, because we don't keep changed" I couldn't understand why Spar made their problem my problem. I should've just left my shopping there, regret not doing it. On my way out, I stopped at the manager and told him to sort that lady out because she will cause Spar a loss of customers
