What is the purpose of your call centre?

Visited Pick n Pay Pinelands on 19 March 2013. Purchased a 7kg (P n P House Brand - Light Blue Bag) potatoes.

For over 5 years, my wife refuses to purchase Potatoes from anywhere except P n P; on arrival at home the the potatoes in the bag were unusually small. So much so, that we were unable to cut the potatoes into chips (fries). The potatoes were pretty much useless to us as we would've bought baby potatoes if need be.

We called the Customer Care and despite our concerted effort in trying to make Uvesh understand that we've purchased tons of this brand of potatoes over the years, he was adamant that the bags go on weight. We told him we fully understand his point, but the potatoes were baby potatoes and useless for our needs.

After going around in circles, we subdued and let him be. He did however tell us that someone would call us for a follow up and gave "865531" as a referance.

It is now 3 weeks later, and we haven't heard from P n P since. The baby potatoes have gone bad, we've tossed them and purchased more P n P House Brand potatoes which were perfect.

I guess we just another number, who makes no dent in your multi billion rand turnover if we support you or not.
