I bought groceries at the Checkers in the Kollonade centre about a week ago. I bought a 7kg bag of Freshmark Class 1 potatoes as I trusted the "class 1" as good quality potatoes. They are absolutely horrible! I have used half the bag now in hope of finding some quality ones. NONE of them are, the skin is horrible and there are rotten and bad bits on them. And once peeled there are brown and grey marks everywhere. I had to peel half of the potatoes away to find the usable parts. I am extremely disgusted in the quality. Potatoes are extremely expensive thesedays and paying R37 - for a bag that is of such poor quality is not on in my books. I only buy my groceries at Checkers as I trust the quality products and service, this time however I am really dissapointed. I think its best not to buy fresh produce at Checkers anymore. I dont want the same thing to happen again.
