Further to my complaint lodged on 6 February 2013 regarding the dangerous and reckless driving of a Shoprtite truck on N1/Brakfontein interchange, on 7 February 2013 I received a call from a Shoprite manager, one Pieter du Preez who undertook to investigate the matter with the relevant vehicle details, and revert. Well, fortunately I didn't hold my breath, because more than 2 months later, still no feedback from the "concerned" manager. Mr. Du Preez. Your silence speaks volumes!! Just another reminder to me not to shop at Shoprite stores - they don't put their money where their mouths are! Poor show Shoprite Fleet Managers! Your drivers put other people's lives in danger, and you're quite okay with that?!
Mr. Du Preez, what action, if any, has been taken against the driver of the said vehicle? Are there any consequences for the reckless and dangerous driving of Shoprite vehicles on our public roads? Or is such action simply condoned and/or swept under the carpet? Simply questions that I don't seem to get answers to.
