MISLEADING CUSTOMERS

I bought a bed at Lewis last year october 2012. Initially i wanted to layby it i was told they have got a policy that if i pay off my account within 3 months it will be treated as cash purchase, i did not have to worry about paying interests and insurance hence it was my main concern. The manager told me that i should bring the receipts after paying it off so that she can send my account to head office for cancellation, I did that. The following month i received a phone call from accounts department telling me that my account was overdue asking when would my next payment be. I told them that i overpaid my account by R50 i then called the manager told her that i was told i owe Lewis. She told me it was a mistake she would fix it. The following day i went to Lewis store spoke to the manager she told me the same thing, she said they should not have called me because my account was paid up. She even remembered that i overpaid my account she promised that the following month (January 2013) i would receive my money back. To my shock yesterday 25/03/2013 i received a letter from Legal Department
