My Mother bought a wall unit at Lewis which was R3 999 in July 2013. Her monthly installment was R408 but she was Paying R500 every month. when she went last this sunday as she wanted to settle her account they told her that she must pay R3937 as the settle amount. of which it was confusing as she never missed 1 payment and she was paying extra.why is it R3937 whereas she only had the account for 6 months, which means she means in total including all those R500 she was paying the total amount is R7000. Lewis charged my Mother for the 24 months interest regardles that she settled the account after 6 months of purchasing the wall unit. to add to that the accounts Manager was also telling us that there is interest that is being charged very month after the 06th which meants that LEWIS charges their constomers double interest. My Mother did pay the R3937 but we want a refund for the remaining 18 months interst that they have charged her. my Mom's name is Mirriam Keneilwe Mpotsang
