I went to Truworths Secunda yesterday looking for an evening dress for a wedding I am attending in April. Found a beautiful dress but it was just too small, I went to the cash desk to ask them to order a bigger size for me from a different branch. I had worked for Truworths from 1997 to 2002, so I knew that customer service is very important to them, and I myself had often ordered items for clients, I was then refused completely because I am a cash customer, which to me is unacceptable, the dress costs R650 and I was willing to pay upfront. They then proceeded to call the manageress which also just refused me right on the spot, I then asked for the area managers number and was then rudely told that she could not give he number out, the manageress then proceeded to phone the area manager who is Dora Zulu and basically belittled me in front of her staff and other customers in store, I was then told to lay a complaint at head office. But the worst of all while the manageress was talking to the area manager, never once did Mrs. Zulu attempt to talk to me or try any alternative solution. I was then further laughed at a I asked for the codes for the dress! I am highly disgusted!!!
