I bought a vehicle online from Gavel King..A Nissan Hardbody 4x4 2.416v 2006. The deal was taking much longer than expected and the auctioneer... Carlo then told me that he had to get the bakkie in Durban and that I now had to give a R10k deposit if I still want the bakkie I bid on. He assured me that the 10k holding deposit was fully refundable Carlo was giving me all sorts of excuses about delivery etc. He then tried to cooerce me in to taking a simirlar bakkie for the same price (R100k) with more mileague and an older model. I then went through the Autotrader and saw the same bakkie being privately sold for R87k. When I questioned him about his antices, he became rude and obnoxious. I told him I wanted the bakkie I bid on or he must refund my R10k. He then informed me that he will not refund me and I can do as I please.
After all the threats going back and forth the bakkie finally arrived at the GavelKing in Vanderbyl Park at the showroom. The bakkie was advertised as 4x4, 117000km and full sound. Not only was it NOT a 4x4, THE MILEAGE WAS 127000 KM the subwoofer had also been removed. The driver's window beading was also missing. CARLO PROMISED TO FIX BUT NOTHING TO DATE
