I went past food lovers market today to but carrots before a castings. The vegetable section is located close to the exit and adjacent to the tills. As I collected my carrots to the value of R7.00, the manager beliggerently walked past me and pointed to the tills on the opposite side of the shop. Thinking of his rude behaviour I turned to look at him but he had already approached where asserted that I was not going to something for R7.00 and was simply making my way to the tills. The manager became furious and escorted me to the entrance where he tried to pull me into his office to 'sort the problem out'. He was loud and abusive and clearly set on assaulting me since his security guard had to keep him at bay. He viciously ripped the carrots out my hand as I tried to make my way to the till and physcially assaulted me by pushing me out the shop and referring to me as 'white trash'. He seemed a violent egotist who continued to shout and scream in front of many of the customers.
While FLM has probably experienced and I am certain that your shop manager was having a bad day I have made a statement at a police station.
