This past weekend, on Saturday the 2nd of March I bought a Woolworths Food 35 days matured rump steak at the price of R139.99 per kilo. I was very excited to try this steak for the first time because usually I buy my steak from their nearest competitor which price is a bit lower than Woolworth's. When Saturday evening came And I cooked the steak with my high expectancy of this piece of meat which is so high priced, I am sad to say that I was VERY disappointed. It was so tough that my girlfriend could hardly finish her piece and I also barely finished mine. When I was done I was utterly disappointed because the meat was more expensive than their nearest competitor and I am very sure it was not matured for 35 days because of how tough it was. I bought it with very high expectations which is usually linked to Woolworths' products and was so very dissapointed, and for a meat lover such as myself I will struggle to buy the same meat there again.
