I bought steak from Woolworths N1 City on 16 November, and when I defrosted the meat to use Tuesday, 19 November, it smelt terrible and even starting to discolour. This is the 4th time that I am returning bad meat to this store. I have had no issues with the store refunding me, but I have complained about mince on 2 occasions and steak once before - all from the same store. I have escalated this before to their store, but continue to sell old meat products. I am a frequent Woolies shopper and would rather pay a little extra if I know I will receive quality products, but have been disappointed on more than 1 occasion.
I will be visiting N1 City again this evening to return my steak purchase of Saturday.
