Have to pay for supposedly FREE phone

I was contacted in December 2012 by Homemark offering me a FREE Vodacom phone, because apparently I had gained some rewards and I was very sceptical but Leeanne assured me that it is free for sure and only if I used over a certain amount of calls/sms'ses would I be billed. So I falsely believed that the phone was free indeed. So the free phone arrived somewhere in January. To date this phone was not even opened or activated. My other phone that is on a Vodacom contract was suddenly blocked and when I enquired they said I owe close to R600. I wanted to know what on earth for? Apparently it was for the free phone.. I am vision impaired and my only income is a state disability pension and I cannot afford 2 phones. I contacted Homemark 3 times already to tell them to cancel this and that I want to send back the supposedly free phone but no one has been able to help me. Now I am unable to use the phone I've always used since both phones are on the same account. I do not have R600 to spend on a phone I did not want in the first place and that was sent to me under false pretences. I also don't have the money to keep phoning to a Jhb number to try and sort this out!
