My son received a gift from a good friend, a lovely ninjago lego set for his birthday yesterday, we observed yesterday evening that the package had been opened and resealed with staples and that the cards from the set were missing.
Due to the awkwardness of asking her how this had occurred I had to assume that it happened in store and she had not noticed upon purchase - we did not notice initially. We eventually convinced my son that the cards were not so important - so he opened it to discover that it was missing both a bag of pieces and the card. The set is completely useless in this state as the little man has no head or helmet.
I am truely shocked that you could sell an item in this state, It puts me in the really awkward position of having to ask a friend for the receipt so that I can tackle this directly with the store. I am sure that under the customer protection act it is definitely an issue.
