Yesterday evening I went shopping at Woolworths Engen in Claremont and decided to purchase the free range chicken pieces clearly marked 10% discount reward for card holders. On the item for R80 is would have been R8 off. Based on this I decided to purchase the item. When I got to the till I was told quite glibly that you don't get this discount at our store (as it is a franchise and not a corporate branch) and that there were supposedly signs everywhere saying so. I didn't & couldn't see any sign at all. I am not interested in the inner workings of your business, but this comes down to false advertising. If you have a different policy for this branch the stick a sticker over your promotion or remove the label. This is unacceptable labeling and conduct from a reputable company.
