I wanted to buy a new Walka and followed Kalahari's advert which quotes a price of R599.99. It does not, however, say whether it is a 3.5 or 7 inch screen. If it is the 3.5 inch screen, the price must be wrong because Makro sells it at R499.00. If it is the 7 inch screen, then I would have liked to buy one at that price.
Furthermore, the advert qoutes a repayment of R121.87 per month over 12 months. This is ridiculous. At R599.95, the capital repayment is R50 per month. Therefor, the interst is R71.87 per month, almost 1.5 times the capital repayment. I am not willing to pay R71 interest if I only owe R50 (in the last month of the contract)!
I think I should report this to the consumer council.
