My late brother, Morne de Bruyn, who was a customer of markhams, recently pass away, due to a massive stroke. He had a insurance policy with tfg, but he had my daughter as beneficiary... he was unmarried with no kids... that seems to be a problem now. My daughter had to go to police station and obtain a avidavitt stating she was his niece, because of surname difference. Actually, they told us what they were looking for in the affidavit an it was done, about 2 weeks later, i receive a letter saying they need another affidavit from her, with same details and a affidavit from my parents, and or brothers/sistrs with same surname as him, my mom went to police station and got affidavitt... havent heard from them again... My problem is... when you fill in the forms, they dont give a who you put down as beneficiary and except your monthly payments with no questions ask... by now, my mom also passed and we are not interested in if there monies or not, we are responsible for, if there are any monies owed by my brother, it needs to be taken care of... necesary arrangements will be made and i be happy to never ever hear from tfg group ever again...
