On browsing your Blue Route Mall branch I noticed that if you open an account you receive R200 in fashion vouchers. I had been wanting to open a Truworths account for a while and decided to investigate more about opening an account on my arrival home.
I did so and thought this was a great idea and saw once again on your website that you received the R200 worth of vouchers and believed this was a lovely incentive. I therefore applied online, application approved and then went into store to sign the agreement. At this time I was told my card would be mailed to me. I then asked the lady helping me if the vouchers would also be in the post and she said yes.
Yesterday I received my card in the post and to my surprise no vouchers! I then called your call centre to find out why I had not been sent the vouchers and I have been told 'I did not qualify' for them?? On asking why I did not qualify the lady said she is not sure.
I think this is disgusting that you can falsely advertise like this! Should the "qualifying criteria" not be to open an account? For my first interaction with Truworths as an account holder I am really not impressed
