Earlier in the week I went to have a look at the Triton Workcentre and the Triton Router Table at Makro. I then decided to buy it today.
Great was my surprise when I found-out that the Triton Router Table which had a price of R2999-00 on it and a tag which stated Triton Router TABLE, did NOT include the legs for that price. This was a surprise to me as a table without legs is a table top.
The legs was an extra R1000-00 plus. After looking at the price tag very carefully, I still couldn't find where it said that the legs was sold separately or the price for the legs or that it was a Table Top and NOT a Table!
After waiting for about half an hour for a manager to arrive, which they did not, the salesmen then said I can have the legs for R300-00. At this stage I decided to take it since I had no choice.
To put the icing on the cake, when I got to the till they tried charging me R500-00 more for the Workcentre as it was marked for. This resulted in more delays while salesmen and managers had to be found.
So what started out as a great trip to buy a birthday present, turned out to be one of my worse experiences at Makro.
