I was interested in renting two appliances from Teljoy. They mailed me with the application forms and all the requirements.
I completed the forms and mailed them the required documents, only to be told that I fall outside their service region and they would not be able to assist me.
I stay in a small town and asked if I can drop the appliance off/collect if something goes wrong, and was told NO, sorry we can't help you.
The website states "Delivery and installation are included within our service regions." and does not say, you have to stay in our regions to make use of Teljoy products.
I am very disappointed with Teljoy.
For a company the size of Teljoy, to limit the people who can make use of the Rent To Own option just because they stay in a small town is a bit crazy.
They can just give you a clause/contract that states that if something does go wrong or the item is faulty, the Renter needs to return/deliver it to the closest service centre.
It still amazes me that companies can say no to money in the current economic times.
