Its Checkers Heydays sale! We are inundated with advertisements on TV and full colour brochures in the newspapers with all the specials and money saving offers! Yet when one goes to the store to take advantage of these wonderful offers we are told 'sorry but we are out of stock'. What a sorry excuse for non delivery of promises made.
I was in Checkers Seadoone on Saturday 9 Feb 13 to buy Kelloggs Special K which was advertised for R19.99. However I was told that they are out of stock.
A lady supervisor, carrying a young child on her hip, came to hear what my problem was. I explained my frustrations but all she said was 'we can give you a voucher and you can come back next week when we get more stock'. I asked her why they do not keep sufficient stock when they advertis specials and she replied 'its the suppliers'.
My problem is firstly, it is not convenient for me just to 'come back' when they have stock (she was not even sure when this would be) and secondly she walked off with the child without even asking or offering to get the so called vouchers for me. Is she there to look after kids or to see to the customers needs, The manager was nowhere to be found. Unacceptable
