Hi,
I visited the Checkers Cobble Walk yesterday to purchase a bread, bottle of 750ml Jik and a mini french loaf. The items, when adding them up, came to R24.97. Instead, I was charged R31.32. I know it's only a R6.35 difference, but this similar incident has happened countless of times at this particular branch. Once recent incident was when I was charged R16.99 for milk instead of R9.99! This particular error I noticed at the till, so it could be rectified. Yesterday's incident went unnoticed until I got home.
It's all good and well for the manager to tell me I can collect a refund, but why must the customer check their till slip constantly to report errors in pricing to the store?
I have now decided to rather switch stores and to do my daily shopping at Pick n Pay, Glen Garry.
No need to reply, I just wanted you to take note - you'll going to loose more customers in future.
Cheers
