I am a regular shopper at Checkers and very aware of prices.
Approx 3 weeks ago Checkers had an eezi copoun for Sasko white bread R5.00 off.
When I bought the bread I noticed that the price for one loaf is R12.29, I queried this as the normal price is R8.99 I was told that the lable is incorrect and when scanned at the till it will be R8.99, which was correct at the time.
On the 7 May I again purchased a Sasko bread and after I paid for it I noticed that the amount I paid is R12.29 again I queried this with a manager and I was told that there has been an increase. Not statiesfitd with this answer I requested an explanation as to why Bread prices increase by nearly 30%. Then I was informed that there is a technical issue between Sasko and Checkers and they are locking into this. However in the meantime I as the consumer have to paid the additional amount.
I find this is not fair and feel that this needs to be sorted out. All the pepole that are getting ripped off due to a technical error. Surly a big chain like Checkers should not have those kind of errors.
