Nothing we can do, but you have to pay for it

On the 01/11/2013 I bought a Blackberry 9720 at Markharm and took insurance on it, on the 24/12/2013 took it back because it was not charging, I was told that its the festive season it might take time to be repaired, I left it there until yesterday (24/01/2014) when I asked my daughter to go and find out about it, she was told that the phone is beyond economical repairs and there's nothing that they can do, she must take it home, today I called and I was told that its physical damage I must pay the account and fix it myself when I asked Thando how could that be, he told me that he is not a technician he does not know, I don't understand this, how am I supposed to pay for a phone that is not working, I took insurance and the phone is not even 2 months old let alone that I had to stay without a phone for almost a month, Please assist.
