This past weekend I went to Makro Clearwater to do my monthly bulk shopping. I bought mainly bulk packs of soaps, detergents, toiletries, etc.
When I got home and started packing my cupboards I was disappointed to notice the differing levels of detergent in the Mr Muscle tile cleaner bottles. I bought 3 bottles, the first being filled almost to the top, the second bottle's level being about 0.5cm below that of the first which is acceptable, however the third bottle was only three quarters full. That's a good few cap-fulls missing from the bottle. I took a photo to illustrate the difference. I know these are filled by machinery, however there should be a quality check in place.
I am not happy paying 100% for a product thats only 75% of the indicated quantity. Furthermore the manufacturer, SC Johnson, does not have a local website or means by which feedback on products can be given. All they offer is a postal address, no email, not even a phone number! Disappointing for such a large company.
I trust that Makro will follow up and communicate this message to the supplier as the public has no forum by which to voice complaints, compliments, or give any feedback what so ever.
