We went to the ice rink on Saturday with six 9 year olds. There appeared to be no management or supervisors AT ALL! The kiosk had a permanent queue as only 1 person was manning it - UNDERSTAFFING FAIL. The music was so LOUD you had to shout and couldn't speak normally. The ice was so melted that there were deep pools of water all over the surface - SAFETY FAIL. There was FRESH BLOOD on one section of the rink which was just left there - HYGIENE / HEALTH RISK FAIL. When we left the EXIT door was locked - we had to wait for the guy to find the key and open it - EMERGENCY FAIL! There appeared to be no identifiable staff on the actual ice to supervise or a Medic. We paid R600 to spend time in this hole. Obviously there is no owner interest or hands-on management of any kind. A case of take these suckers' money and run. Absolutely disgusting. NEVER EVER will I visit any of these ice rinks as they are all owned by the same company it seems. Talk about no pride in your product!!! This is something that is open to the public? It should be CLOSED DOWN!
