December 2012 myself & my wife decided to take out one of the deals at F.C & were guided through the process of application for finance. This process took aprox 2 weeks. Once the application was approved they started to deliver bit by bit. We bought a lounge suite, coffee table, dining room table, chairs and a television. It took furniture city 4 trips to deliver all the goods with the excuse that stock was not available. The coffee table, dining room table as well as one of the chairs were damaged. I IMMEDIATELY called the sales person and informed her. She promised to resolve and replace. This then took a further 2 MONTHS to do. leaving us with a damaged dining room and coffee table and an unusable dining room chair. During this process I informed the financial controller that we would not be paying for goods we do not have. The minute all the goods were received in order I went and made our first payment. African bank are now charging interest and calling daily. threatening action. Financial controller at store with the worst attitude known to man has promised to resolve but nothing. Cant even get hold of regional manager to escalate issue. Disgusted and appalled.
