On 27 July 2013 we've bought a dining room table from Rochester. This item had to be ordered and we were told that we'll receive this item at latest in 8 weeks' time. It's been 11, going on 12 weeks and we've still not received our dining room table.
After about 9 weeks of waiting, I've discovered that the reason for the delay was that they've ordered a coffee table instead of a dining room table. I wasn't prepared to wait another 8 weeks for my order and so Keith (branch manager) and Darian (someone at the service and distribution centre) informed me that they do have a table available which they can allocate to me and so I agreed to wait a bit longer.
Since then, the branch and the distribution centre have promised that they'll deliver on numerous times. Each time I've made a plan for someone to be at home to receive the table, but still no Rochester. I haven't even received as much as a phone call telling me what is going on. I have to continually phone them and follow up.
I realise now that paying up front in full for the item was a mistake, because it seems like as soon as they receive their money the don't care anymore.
This is really unexceptable!!!
