On the 16th Jan i purchased a cot mattress, the sales person CLEARLY said that if it was wrong, i could return it as long as it was in the plastic and had the barcode. 4 days later, i went to return it as it was the wrong one, and my mother in law had already got the correct one. I was advised that they only exchange or give store credit. After I was cleary unhappy, they called the manager over. At the same time, there was a lady in plain clothes who also got involved. She said to me that her staff knows the return policy and wouldnt have told me i can get a refund, guess that means im a trying to take advantage. I asked to see the returns policy at the tills, im not saying its not there, but the only responce she gave was that it was on my slip. HOW DOES THAT HELP, THE PURCHASE IS MADE! I asked what i must do with another gift voucher, i have R500 worth at home, the lady at the till told me to buy nappies! Sales staff dont get to tell me how to spend my money, i have plenty nappies! 4 months ago i bought a 4k camp cot. Concerned it was too early, i was assured i could return it. If pregnancy went wrong, i would be left with a 4k voucher. I woulnt have bought it!
