Quoted below are the letter send to our Health Department. If you do a complain online at Pick and Pay it rejects the complain. I am so disgusted with the hygiene in the shop - will never buy anything there unless it is sealed in a packet or tin.

Can you please investigate Pick & Pay in Meerensee. I was so disgusted on the 27th December (very very hot day) - wanted to buy fruits and what did we see about 100 blow flies sitting on and inside the spoiled fruits. Not only that as we moved to the deli the same thing - the blow flies were all over the buns that was freshly baked.
This is not the first time that I complain about the temperature in Pick & Pay. It is terrible hot inside no wonder the flies take over. If you keep the temperature low they will not enter (take for example woolworths). I can just imagine how the germs doubles in that environment.
