Taking customer service to a new low

I have recently had the pleasure of experiencing the festive spirit when shopping at a guess kids store at my local mall in gateway, Umhlanga.i went into the kids store to purchase some outfits for my daughter who simply loves guess clothing. I wanted to surprise her and I bought her 2 outfits .i had the biggest welcome and the attendants were all smiling ad cheerful to do a sale and told me I can bring it back anytime if the size was not right. I came back after a week to exchange 1 of the outfits as it was not the correct size. Unfortunate for me, my daughter who was so excited when taking her clothes to try out, misplaced the receipt which was placed in the bag. Apart from being uncooperative and uninterested the staff seems to forget that your stores run on customer support and not their attitudes. The outfit was not used it still had the labels intact and I did not have the receipt, however I had proof that it was purchased on my credit card and showed the attendant this and she picked up the receipt. My daughter was not with me so I asked for a credit note and I was told that they cannot give a credit note as it is not their policy.
