Will not exchange???

I purchased a few items from YDE about 2 weeks ago, I unfortunately did not try on a few garments as I had my 18 month old son with me and was in a rush. I went home and tried on the garments to find one was too small. I returned to the store today 11/07/2013 to exchange the garment for a bigger size. firstly there was no one at the counter to assist and finally Jared asked if I wanted a purchase I explained I needed an exchange as the garment I purchased was too small and I found a bigger size he advised me I needed a receipt I explained I did not have one as I purchased this a few weeks back but the tag was still on the garment. He advised me he would talk to his manager a few minutes later he told me she refused as I did not have a receipt I explained I miss placed it but was it not ok that I have the tag still on the garment he said his manager refused.

I completely understand if there was no tag and I just wanted my money back but in this case I just wanted a bigger size? I often go to Woolworth's and purchase clothing for my family and have often returned goods without a receipt. I have been shopping at YDE for a number of years but will not be back anytime soon!!!
