We recently booked and paid for a 4 night stay via Daddy'd Deals at the Pearl Hotel in the Wilderness. On the afternoon of the second day we were informed by a junior staff member that we had to vacate our room immediately. On following up at reception it appeared that an ongoing dispute between landlord and operating company resulted in an immediate eviction order through the courts - all hotel residents had to be out by 5 pm. The hotel gave us some contact nos of B&B etc in the area in order to find alternate accommodation. We had to source this ourselves but as we were on a discounted deal - all other accommodation in the area was not at the same discounted rate and not offering the same facilities. We feel the hotel should have sourced equivalent accommodation on our behalf and paid the difference as we were not informed of the ongoing troubles at the time of purchasing the deal. We are still waiting to be reimbursed from both parties (Pearl and Daddy's Deals) but have received no communication from either party to acknowledge the problem and offer some compensation - a relevantly affordable holiday turned into an expensive nightmare.
