I was so excited to try out the Pick 'n Pay online shopping and I registered and did my shopping at the same time. I first read through all their "Frequently asked questions" and in there it states that you can use your credit / debit or cheque card for payment. I only have a debit card as I am not a big fan of credit cards. Once I have picked all my items for the shopping list and selected a delivery time, I went to check out and pay and noticed that they only asked for credit card details on the payment option. I then phoned their call centre and was advised that they only accept credit cards (only once after the call centre agent asked me if I was actually on the Pick 'n Pay online site). Clearly the call centre agents do not know what is on the site. I am very upset about this as this is, as I see it, false advertisement. I was told by the call centre agent that they will advise the powers above that the website is incorerct, but I feel that this is not enough, especially after I wasted at least 3 hours on their website.
