I had an Edgars account that went into arrears due to a failed business. It was handed over to a collections agency and approx 3 to 4 years ago I was given a settlement account by this agency. I settled the full amount. Unfortunately I can not remember who it was and do not have any proof any more as it was such a long time ago. Last week I received a phone call from another collections agent advising me that I owe R7k plus, I explained that it was settled and she recommended that I contact Edgars. I logged a query on the Edgars website and they referred me back to the collections agent. I am quite sure that it isn't the same collectors as before so they can not hep me, surely Edgars should know who had the account previously. In short someone is from me and you?
