My husband had an outstanding amount due to Edgars, this amount was settled in March 2013, proof of which was supplied to Edgars. My husband then starting receiving calls from ARA debt collectors. Mrs Desai continued to call for Calvin yet my husbands name is Kevin. He sent proof of the amount. The following week another call for Calvin, Mrs Desai was so rude on the telephone telling my husband he must listen to her, he explained the amount is paid and resent proof. Last week we got another sms advising us that we are being handed over and proof was sent again on Wednesday. We received a statement with charges added to it for letters of demand (never received) It is unacceptable that collections agencies are allowed to harass people for amounts paid. They can barely communicate in the business language (English) Edgars should be ashamed of themselves for using agencies with little or no business ethics. This matter has been going on since March and we can not get these people to stop harassing us. A company called R&T are also contacting us know.
